How to connect an eircom router to a UPC motorola surfboard cable modem....

1. Plug in router,modem and computer.
2. Connect modem to LAN PORT 1.
3. Connect computer to any other port.
4. Open your internet browser and type 192.168.1.254 (router home address).
5. Go into advanced settings and BRIDGE the WAN port.

To make your life easier you should get Windows 7 which will solve most of your network problems automatically, it did for me, plus its pretty spectactular.

P.S I`m an avid fan of FIREFOX but IE8 sorted out my wireless connection to the router with the click of a button.
